Amherst Town Councilmember
Amherst, New York (Wednesday, July 11, 2012)
"As of Thursday July 12th, I will be returning to the Amherst Town Board after a 10-month activation and deployment with the US Navy. I want to thank my wife and family for all of their love, my fellow board members, and the residents of Amherst for their continued support. During my deployment, I was honored to work with my father and friend Richard Anderson Sr. as he served in my absence. At my first return Board Meeting on Monday July 16th, 7pm I will acknowledge his service to the Town of Amherst.
I am excited to continue my service on behalf of the Town and encourage Amherst residents to contact me at 716-242-9625.
On a personal note I joined the reserves after 9/11. It was during my first deployment that I learned what service members and soldiers truly experience. During the last year I have learned what sacrifices are made on the home front everyday. I am proud of the people I served with and I am very grateful to all military family members for all that they give to our country."
