Man charged with murdering his half-brother

Cattaraugus Indian Reservation (WBEN) -- The Erie County Sheriff's Department has made an arrest in connection with the discovery of a body on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation on Saturday.

The department says Cody Testerman, 22, who lives on the reservation along Brant Reservation Rd., is accused of killing his half-brother, Jesse Seneca, 20, who lived along Route 438, also on the reservation.

Testerman is charged with 2nd degree murder.  He arrested this morning without incident at the Erie County Sheriff’s Office substation in North Collins where he gave a statement.

He is currently at the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment in the Town of North Collins court.

Detective Jack Graham and several other detectives and personnel from the Erie County Sheriff’s office worked the case after the Erie County Sheriff’s Office was notified that nearby residents discovered the body, now confirmed as the victim, on a dirt road – off Route 438-  on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation on Saturday afternoon.

It's believed Seneca was last seen alive in the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 11.
