Leaders from Women's & Children's Hospital gave Buffalo Planning Board members a look at their conceptual designs for the new hospital. The new facility is proposed as a twelve story structure across from Buffalo General Medical Center at Ellicott and High Streets. Should things proceed as planned, the new hospital would open in 2015.

The Niagara Frontier Automobile Dealers Association reports June new vehicle sales were up 6.15% compared to June of 2011. Ford continues to be the area's top seller. Business First point out that Chevrolet routinely does not report sales numbers for the region.

Local businessmen Anthony Girasole and Dominic Penale, Jr. have formed Girasole-Penale Appraisals. The company provides real estate appraisals and consulting.

Second quarter net income for M&T Bank was $1.71 per share, compared to $2.42 a year ago.
