The AAA reports average gas prices have gone up three cents in the past week to $3.63 for a gallon of unleaded gas in Western New York. That's eighteen cents higher than the national average of $3.45 per gallon.

Tops Markets has purchased twenty-one supermarkets in upstate New York and Vermont from GU Markets LLC. No terms were publicly announced.

Parcel distribution company Landmark Global has opened a new location in Buffalo.

The first Firehouse Subs location has opened on Transit Road in Clarence. Business First reports the company plans to open at least ten more sites in the Buffalo-Niagara region in the coming months.

Go Veggies Cafe & Mini Market celebrates its grand opening weekend Saturday and Sunday from 10am-8pm. The restaurant is on Bryant Street in Buffalo.

The NFTA hosts an open house for mechanics and technicians Saturday from 9am to 2pm at the Cold Spring Bus Maintenance Office; 1581 Michigan Avenue.
