A Penfield family is in shock following the loss of a cousin and nephew. 27-year-old Alex Sullivan is one of the 12 people who died as a result of the shootings at the Aurora Theater in Colorado. According to multiple media reports, Alex was at the midnight premiere of “The Dark Knight Rises” to celebrate his birthday. Sullivan’s parents were both raised in the Rochester area with numerous family members still residing in the region. They moved to Colorado before Alex was born.
