A house explosion in Wilson has injured 4 people - three of them reportedly ejected from the home. The blast happened at about 615am on Chestnut Street, just beyond Beebe Road. One person has died in the blast, four others were seriously injured.
Sheriff Jim Voutour says five of the seven people who lived in the home were there at the time of the explosion. The parents, Jody and Judith Johnson, along with two of their children, Katie and Nathan, were found but seriously injured. The parents as well as Nathan Johnson are at ECMC in stable condition. Katie is in critical condition with severe burns.
Sarah Johnson was found in the rubble and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause remains under investigation.
