How High Are Bills' Expectations?

Pittsford, NY (WBEN) The Bills are about to begin training camp for the 2012 season. One beat reporter says the Bills' expectations are high, especially with a big name signing.

"We're in the third year of a coach's tenure, and teams need to show significant improvement," says AP Writer John Wawrow. "I do think a 10 win season is not out of the question, and in fact, anything less would be a disappointment." He says there's an outside shot of a 12 win season.

Wawrow says expectations are high "given the additions they've made, the continuity on offense, and what this team looks like." One addition in particular is Mario Williams, who is expected to boost the defense. "When he is healthy he is among the NFL's top pass rushers, and that's why the Bills went out to get him. He immediately improves a defense that's been porous the last couple of years.

He adds the Bills will need to be lucky in the injury department.

"Injuries caught up to their lack of depth last year. They have more depth but you can't lose Kyle Williams, Shawne Merriman and Fred Jackson and expect to succeed," notes Wawrow.

Training camp begins today at St. John Fisher College.

Poll
How do you feel about allowing school districts a second vote on their budget plan?
As long as it's a different plan it's ok.
I'm ok with a 2nd vote for the same or a different plan.
  One vote and done!
