According to the AAA, the average cost for unleaded gas in the region is up a penny from Monday at $3.66 per gallon.

The Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation has agreed to invest $2.35 million to convert the former storage site of the ice boom along Fuhrmann Boulevard into green space. Business First reports that work is expected to begin next week.

The State Comptroller's Office has awarded a construction contract to Miller Enterprises of Buffalo. That company had the low bid for an upgrade of the concession stand in the Rath Building.

Mixed news for Synacor yesterday; despite a second quarter rise in net income, an announcement that full-year revenue will not meet the higher end of expectations dropped Synacor stock 26% in Thursday trading.

In related news: second quarter earnings per share for Greatbatch, Incorporated came in at sixteen cents per share - down twenty cents from last year. Graham Corporation first quarter net income was fourteen cents per share - down sixteen cents from the same period a year ago.
