Buffalo (WBEN) -- One dead, one injured following an overnight shooting on Buffalo's west side.

Buffalo police were called to a house in the 600 block of West Ave. just after 2:30 a.m. for the report of a shooting.

Detectives say gunfire struck a 23-year-old Hispanic male, and his 18-year-old sister as they sat on the porch at that home. 

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while his sister is recovering in serious condition at ECMC.
