The project will replace the existing downtown casino, which was built five years ago. Seneca Gaming Corporation says the project will cost about $130 million, and should be ready to open in late 2013.
Seneca Nation officials will join construction workers to officially launch the start of construction in a ceremony set for 10 Wednesday morning at the Casino site at Michigan Ave. and Perry St. in downtown Buffalo.
Since opening the Seneca Niagara Casino in 2002, Seneca Gaming Corp. has invested more than a billion dollars to develop its casino properties in Niagara Falls, Salamanca, and Buffalo.
