Newstead Man Nabbed in Pot Bust



Newstead, NY (WBEN) A Newstead man's marijuana operation goes to pot following a bust by Erie County Sheriff's deputies.

Investigators say they found 336 plants on John Barron's property.

Deputies say they saw a sophisticated irrigation system in Barron's backyard, as well as a number of scales and marijuana in packages.

The street value of the drugs is $250,000. Deputies were aided by DEA and

Barron will be arraigned at Newstead Town Court.
