State Police are investigating the cause of a crash on Interstate 190 Tuesday night. A vehicle driven by 87-year-old Anne Mullins of Tonawanda was on the northbound 190 in the Town of Tonawanda, when it began drifting across the lanes, striking first one guard rail, and then another. It rolled to a stop in a driving lane. Passersby found Mullins dead in the vehicle.
Just before midnight in Niagara County, Mercy Flight was called to Route 93 and Burch Road in Wilson. A motorcycle failed to make it on a curve and went into a ditch throwing the driver into a cornfield. The injured biker has not been identified; he's listed in critical condition at the ECMC. Witnesses said a second biker was at the scene but fled once emergency personnel were called. Police want to question the man who was described as stocky, about 6 feet tall. He had a reddish-brown goatee.
