Buffalo, NY (WBEN) The Olympic flame has been extinguished in London, but memories are glowing brightly for the mother of one local Olympian. Suzanne Linde watched her son Jake Kaminski take silver in team archery.

Suzanne Linde says everyone in London was helpful and friendly during her time. But when it came to the competition, she ran the gamut of emotions. "I was nervous, and grateful and thankful, and it was a nail biting experience," says Linde. During the match against Japan to get into medal contention, she thought she'd be "a puddle on the floor."

Linde says the wind picked up during Kaminski's individual showdown, where he lost in a one arrow shootout. The team fell to Italy by one point in the gold medal match, but Linde says it was Kaminski who told his teammates they won the silver, they didn't lose the gold.

Linde predicts her son will be going for the gold again in Rio four years from now. "He's got a taste of it, and he will be back," notes Linde.

Kaminski will be competing in other competitions in the next month, then take some time off. Linde says that could be when a hometown celebration takes place.
