Amherst, NY (WBEN) Time Warner customers in Amherst have found themselves without cable TV service for much of the day Tuesday. A severed area line is to blame.
A Time Warner Spokesperson tells WBEN either the weather or an oversized truck severed the area line over the 290. That led to an outage for a percentage of Amherst customers.
Crews are on scene right now working on repairing the line and restoring service, but there's no estimate on when restoration will be complete.
Hey what do you know TWC thought of a new excuse for yet another outage! Second time in a week having service problems. Last month no service for 2 days Someone needs to buy them some duct tape.

quess you should switch
That's what we did. After the October strom we went for 3 weeks waiting for Time Warner. We switched to FIS and the service is great.
