Early Sunday morning Buffalo firefighters had to evacuate the site of a two-alarm blaze on the city's Lower West Side. Crews were pulled from the building at 1054 West, out of concern for their safety. Four adults were left homeless.
In Buffalo's University Heights section, a two-alarm fire destroyed two buildings Saturday afternoon. The fire started in an auto repair shop at Bailey and Hewitt, then spread to a restaurant next door. Two nearby homes also were damaged. At least four firefighters were taken to the hospital, for minor burns or heat exhaustion
