Plea in Deadly Motorcycle Crash

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A 30-year-old Cheektowaga man faces up to four years in prison for crashing his motorcycle on the 400 and killing the woman riding with him.

Joseph Ayer of Cheektowaga has pleaded guilty in state Supreme Court to criminally negligent homicide.

Ayer admitted that on March 20 he was speeding and driving erratically on Route 400 in West Seneca when he lost control of his motorcycle, causing 24-year-old Chelsea Olson of Buffalo to be ejected and suffer fatal injuries.

Ayer is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 8
