HEAR THE CALLS HEREfrom The Tom Bauerle Show, Tuesday morning
The first calls came in just after 10am, when a caller reported seeing a driver traveling south on the 190 north. "Somebody on the lane driving leisurely south on the northbound lanes by Sheridan Drive and the 290," said the caller. State Police have stopped and arrested the driver near the Ontario Street exit.
Another caller told Tom Bauerle, "I got on the Ontario Street onramp and no sooner than you mentioned it I looked up and I saw a car coming at me. If I weren't looking up at that moment, I wouldn't have seen it," he said. "I moved over as quick as I could, and I get to go home to my family because of that." Another caller spotted the car near the 290 overpass, "She was on the left shoulder, between the left lane and the left shoulder," he explained.
State Police say the driver was a 57 year old woman with a medical condition. She's being evaluated at Sisters Hospital. She's being ticketed for driving in the wrong direction. There was no crash, nor were there any injuries.
