Hochul Says She Can Better Spend Time Here Than at DNC
Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Among the Democrats at the national convention in Charlotte, one locally familiar face won't be there. Congresswoman Kathy Hochul.
Hochul sent WBEN a one-line statement Wednesday. "I guarantee that my time will be better spent meeting the farmers, small business owners and other people who put me here," Hochul wrote.
Back in July, she told WBEN her decision not to go had nothing to do with separating herself from President Obama, as some had speculated. "If someone had asked me when I was first elected, I would have told them I wasn't going," said Hochul. "If you look at the calendar, it falls during that very short district work period at the end of August and early September and I would much rather be in the district."
Hochul says her vote wouldn't make a difference at the convention, so her decision to stay in the district "is not a surprise."

Mrs.
It seems like she is trying to pander to conservatives.I will never forget her attitude when she addressed the town hall meeting in Lancaster and totally disrespected herconstituents when we begged her to stand up for religious freedom, no she said "she believes in 'women's rights' and that was that. Also she lies about the Ryan healthcare plan by constantly stating lies i.e. seniors will have to go to voucher system and is a talking puppet for Obama policies not for the people.
