In place since 1956 and apparently not going away any time soon - that's what the Regional Director of the New York State Department of Transportation had to say about the Skyway yesterday. The span is due for $30 million in repaving and painting work within a few years.

The state DOT has just about finished its work on the Union Ship Canal pocket park. That park links the Buffalo Lakeside Commerce Park with the waterfront just to the south of Gallagher Beach.

HUNT Real Estate ERA has acquired Turning Key Realty. No terms of the deal were made public.

Mullican Flooring has hired 28 new workers for its facility in Virginia. Mullican has a manufacturing facility in Holland, New York.

Teachers' Tools & Treasures celebrates nine years in business this month. The store is at 664 Cleveland Drive in Cheektowaga.
