Add another two cents to the average cost for a gallon of gas in the area. The AAA reports it's now $3.98 for unleaded. The local average is fifteen cents more than the current national average.

The Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority has authorized three projects totaling $40 million. Wendell-Duscherer Architects of Amherst was awarded the largest slice, to renovate and expand the U.S. Customs Commercial Building. Cheektowaga's Greenman Pederson Incorporated will do the work on the new exit ramp and entry underpass from the I-190 onto the Peace Bridge Plaza. In charge of widening the U.S. approach lanes to the plaza and customs booths is the Buffalo office of Parsons Transportation Group.

Buffalo law firm Damon Morey LLP has added an Albany office. The firm already has operations in Buffalo, Clarence and Rochester.
