Two of those four Sabres matchups -- with the Bruins and Leafs -- were scheduled for next week at First Niagara Center. But despite the NHL's labor difficulties, Brown says downtown will still be active.
"More and more people are coming to downtown every week for a variety of different reasons," Brown says.
But he still wants to see the lockout resolved as soon as possible.
"Thousands of hockey fans in Buffalo and Western New York want to see this ended as soon as possible, and we want to see hockey played in our communty," Brown added.
Brown says he is keeping tabs on any developments that arise involving the league's labor troubles.
