Buffalo, NY (WBEN) One of Buffalo's oldest places to grab a bite and a beer is back in business. Ulrich's recently reopened after tax issues.
Owner Jim Daley says he's letting lawyers handle the tax issue and he's moving forward. "We're running full hours, kitchens open, and we're excited about it," says Daley.
Daley says he plans on running a tighter ship financially and hopes to continue serving customers for years to come.
Back in August, Ulrich's filed for bankruptcy with a list of creditors including the IRS and the State Department of Taxation and Finance, with back taxes totaling $270,000 combined between the two.
Ulrich's was established in 1868. Daley's parents ran the business since the 1950s, and he bought the tavern and took it over in 2000.
