Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A State Supreme Court Judge will oversee the counting of ballots in the too close to call primary between State Senator Tim Kennedy and Betty Jean Grant.
Judge Joseph Glownia approved the request, made by the incumbent. Kennedy's spokesman John Mackowiak, says "Our legal team took strong measures to ensure the intergrity of the process, and to make sure every single eligible vote is counted."
He says the process allows for an impartial entity, and that's why Kennedy's team asked for the court to step in.
Mackowiak says the decision is about "things move forward quickly, and every eligible voter has their ballot counted."
Kennedy leads Grant by 91 votes with about 1,200 absentee ballots to be counted.
Isn't there a Board of Elections that oversees elections? Can't they count without supervision?
Are they corrupt or maybe they just don't like coming to work? Isn't there enough work in the courts to keep the judges busy?
Why do taxpayers have to pay for another layer of bureaucracy to support the one under it?
