$10 Million Gift for New Children's Hospital

It's a $10 million donation from The John R Oishei Foundation to name the new facility -- the John R Oishei Children's Hospital.

It will offer specialized pediatric and women's health-care services -- and will operate on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus...

Oishei was a Buffalo industrialist and philanthropist, known for the windshield wiper -- who also established a charitable foundation in 1940.

The new facility is expected to open in 2015, with the groundbreaking set for the Spring.
