Expansion of the Swan Lounge has been approved by the Buffalo Planning Board. Business First reports the Swan Lounge will install a new elevator and garage and should re-open next spring.

New Wave Energy Corporation has signed a deal as the electric and natural gas supplier to First Niagara Center. As part of its sponsorship arrangement with the Buffalo Sabres, New Wave Energy will have its name on the penalty box at the rink.

The Griggs-Lewis Foundation has given a $4 million grant to support a planned $14 million ice arena in Lockport. The twin-pad facility will be built on Chestnut Street.

Coffee Culture's ninth area coffeehouse has opened at the Walden Galleria.

All four Lifetime Health Medical Group locations in Buffalo received recognition from HealtheLink. It's in part for "achieving Patient-Centered Medical Home Recognition."

Roswell Park Cancer Institute researchers have received grants totaling $800,000 from the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation. The money goes to twenty separate projects.
