U.S. Marshals arrest Taglianetti

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP/WBEN) - Authorities have captured a Virginia man suspected of killing a school superintendent in Chautauqua County.

The U.S. Marshals Service announced Friday that deputies on a fugitive task force captured Anthony Robert Taglianetti in the Shenandoah County area of Virginia.

The agency says the deputies' investigation led them to the area, where they spotted Taglianetti's car and pulled him over. Authorities issued a description of Taglianetti's vehicle earlier in the day.

Deputies say Taglianetti shot Reed last Friday outside Reed's home in Clymer.

On Thursday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office said they were searching for Taglianetti in connection with the shooting death of Clymer Superintendent Keith Reed Jr. on Sept. 21.

Chautauqua County didn't go into specifics on the motive for the crime, but did says it was personal in nature and had nothing to do with Reed's employment as a school superintendent.

A man answering a Virginia phone number listed under Taglianetti's name declined to comment.
