Castile Supervisor Stephen Tarbell says the Town and Village offices will be relocated to temporary space across the street, donated by The Bank of Castile. Court will be held at the area's fire hall.
"It's amazing we are moving this quickly, but the sad part is they are still searching for a person that may have been in the building," Tarbell says.
About 20 fire companies spent several hours battling the blaze. They had to use water pumped from tankers because the village's hydrant system is being worked on.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
"You have to rule out so many causes before you get one down," says Tarbell, a retired fire investgator, who says the investigation may last a while.
