Hit and Run Passenger Accused of VIolating Probation



Amherst, NY (WBEN)  The man convicted of telling his driver to speed off after striking two Daemen College students has been arraigned on a charge of violating probation.

John Pieri was arraigned this afternoon in Amherst Town Court.

He was the passenger of Andrea Glinski, who struck the two students in 2009. At the time Pieri told Glinski to leave the accident scene.

Pieri was convicted of criminal solicitation and sentenced to a month in jail and three years probation.

He faces up to a year in jail if it's determined he violated probation.
