Collins and Hochul Running Neck and Neck

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) The latest poll from Sienna College Research Institute sets the race in New York's 27th Congressional District as a tie between incumbent, Cathy Hochul and challenger, Chris Collins. The poll, conducted last week sets support for each candidate at 47% with six percent of those questioned undecided.
The poll which was commissioned by the Buffalo News and WGRZ-TV shows the candidates with nearly identical ratings when it comes to favorability (Hochul-47%, Collins-46%). According to Sienna Spokesman, Steven Greenberg, the poll also shows the district as potentially splitting votes in the booth come election day, "...we see Romney leading Obama at the moment (in the 27th district) by nine points, yet Hochul and Collins are in a dead even tie."
The key to the race for each candidate will be winning the support of those six percent of votes yet to commit to a side in the race. The last poll of the 27th District was commissioned back in August and showed a two percent lead for Collins, 47-45.
