The AAA reports that local gas prices have edged down a penny through the week.  Currently, an average gallon of gas in the region costs $4.10.  A year ago, the same gallon cost forty-one cents less.

On behalf of Upstate New York Transplant Services, McGuire Development Company has made a $2 million offer for the former Sheehan Hospital site.  The property is still up for auction if a bankruptcy court judge rejects that offer.

The Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency has agreed to allow owners of Perfetto's Restaurant to participate in a state grant program and make modifications at its Market Arcade site.  According to the Buffalo News, that clears the way for Perfetto's to open at the former Ya Ya Bayou Brewhouse site by the end of November.

Summer Street Capital Partners has invested in Springville, Illinois' Midwest Technical Institute.  No terms of that deal were publicly announced.

First quarter profits for Taylor Devices of North Tonawanda were reportedly up 49% from a year ago.
