Former President Bill Clinton is coming in on behalf of Congresswomen Kathy Hochul and Louise Slaughter. Love him or hate him, he's a campaigner that fires up the base better than a lot of others.
One of the last times Bill Clinton was on a Western New York stage, was back in 2008, stumping for his wife Hillary's presidential bid.
"It's always quite an event to be on stage with Bill Clinton, no doubt about it," says former Erie County Democratic chairman Len Lenihan. He says the Clinton Mystique is not hard to decipher at all.
"Bill Clinton is a happy warrior, "says Lenihan. "He loves people, he loves the campaign. He's enthusiastic when he's out there; he's entertaining. And frankly, he reminds people not only of the fact that government can have a sense of purpose, and optimism, and can do good things."
A huge crowd is expected for today's Rochester event,so big in fact they moved the venue earlier this week to the Rochester Main Street Armory at 900 East Main Street in Rochester at 3:30 PM. .
