Buffalo Business Report - Monday, October 29th 2012



The local average price for a gallon of unleaded gas dropped below $4 for the first time since May 19th over the weekend.  According to the AAA, the current average price is $3.98 per gallon.

Last week's $388 million sale of North American Breweries to interests in Costa Rica is not expected to result in changes for the local operations in Buffalo and Rochester.  Business First reports the deal should close later in the fourth quarter.

The land on which a Dennys restaurant sits at Delaware and Linden has been purchased for $795,000 by 2215 Delaware Avenue LLC.  

In earnings news, Greatbatch Incorporated reported a third quarter loss of thirty-two cents per share, compared to a thirty cents per share gain last year.  

Batavia's Graham Corporation saw second quarter profit and sales decline.  Net income per share was at twenty-six cents per share, compared to last year's fifty-five cents per share.
