Mayor Byron Brown says the city isn't expecting as much rain as was predicted during the weekend. That after discussions with the Buffalo officer of the National Weather Service.
But, Brown says, the wind speeds will still be intense -- with the strongest winds expected between 8pm Monday night and 2am Tuesday morning.
"So, we are suggesting to people if you don't have to be out between those hours, if you don't have to travel, that it would be advisable to stay home. But at this point, we have no plans to put out a formal travel advisory," Brown says.
But the city does advise having working flashlights, extra water, and staying away from downed power lines in case of any power outages.
