Scattered Problems Reported in Buffalo



Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - Some rain, some wind, but relatively unscathed.  The City of Buffalo is reporting a relatively easy time with Megastorm Sandy.

The largest problem was that of a tree falling into 2 houses on Fairfield Avenue in the city's Parkside neighborhood. That was one of 8 tree calls that came into the city Monday night and early Tuesday morning.

City crews were aware of 7 utility calls for blown transformers or downed wires, and 4 calls for minor street flooding, but no streets have been closed in the city.
 
In Niagara County, 2200 were ordered evacuated along the Lake Ontario shoreline near Olcott. There is a flood warning in effect for Cayuga Creek, and a high wind warning remains in effect Tuesday.
