Town of Tonawanda Police Lieutenant Nick Bado says Indaleccio Rodriguez-Escalera (pictured) and his girlfriend Melissa Rosario were arrested after tip calls led investigators to the couple at the Economy Inn on Grand Island Boulevard.
Bado says when police arrived Rodriguez-Escalera threw heroin around the room to try and destroy the evidence.
It got on three small children in the room.
They were checked out at Women and Children's Hospital.
Both are charged with Possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell, endangering the welfare of a child, and reckless endangerment.
