This is a very hopeful sign about this country, that Republicans, independents, and Democrats have come together to support our efforts and send a message to Washington. We don't want partisan gridlock to tie us up anymore. We want an independent thinker who wants to get things done," Hochul added.
With 98 percent of the districts reporting, Collins led Hochul in Erie County by 2,200 votes. In Niagara County, 103 districts reported as of midnight, and Hochul led by 310 votes. Collins leads by 1,600 votes in Niagara County. Numbers from Genesee and Wyoming Counties were not available.
