Providence, RI (WBEN) -- Is playing the Buffalo Bills the equivalent to having a bye week?
That's apparently the view of Providence Journal writer Jim Donaldson, who just wrote an article titled "Patriots have back-to-back "bye" weeks."
Grantland just published "The Glorious Plight of the Buffalo Bills," an extensive article about the long-suffering but loyal Bills fans, using September's loss to the Patriots as its backdrop.
Donaldson is on sound footing, suggesting the Patriots are heavy favorites, noting they have won 22 of their last 24 games against the Bills.
It's a slightly different matter to suggest the Patriots can just phone it in this weekend.

We're not talking about Tom Brady making snotty comments about the state of Buffalo's hotels. This is a sports writer suggesting the Patriots have Sunday off, because -- after all -- it's only the Bills.Well, almost.
For the Pats, playing the Bills is pretty close.
Especially in Foxboro, where the Bills haven't won since 2000, when Drew Bledsoe was quarterbacking the Patriots.
