Hanover, NY (WBEN) Chautuaqua County Sheriff's Deputies are looking for a 22-year-old driver who they say left the scene of a crash that killed his passenger.
Sheriff Joseph Gerace says the crash happened in the Town of Hanover around 3 a.m. Thursday. Responders found the body of 22-year-old Jeremy Long of Silver Creek in the wreckage but no sign of the driver.
Sheriff's deputies are now looking for Jeremiah Burgess. Burgess is 6 feet tall, weighing 270 pounds. His picture is above.
Investigators say the vehicle was traveling westbound on Routes 5 and 20 when the driver lost control and crashed into a concrete abutment in a ditch.
