The venture capital program of the Small Business Administration continues to see significant growth. Business First reports SBA-licensed Small Business Investment Companies provided more than $3 billion in funding to over 1,000 small businesses in fiscal 2012. The SBA's fiscal year runs from October 1st to September 30th. The funding increase this year was 14% above last year's numbers.
Investor relations and PR firm Casteel Schoenborn has leased space from Iskalo Development in the Harbinger Square building in Williamsville. The company is moving from Wehrle Drive to its new headquarters at 5166 Main Street.
Turning Stone Casino in Central New York has begun work on a $25 million upgrade. Four new entertainment venues will be up and running in time for the casino's 20th anniversary next July.
