Going to the Game? Get There Early

Orchard Park, NY (WBEN) As Bills fans head to the stadium for the game against the Dolphins, Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard is urging you to try to get there early.

Howard reminds you to be on the lookout for stopped school buses while heading to the stadium. Also remember, Abbott Road will be closed between Southwestern and Big Tree at 4:30pm.

Howard says parking lots will be open four hours before kickoff and two hours after the end of the game. If you're walking to a satellite lot, be sure to wear reflective gear so folks can see you more easily.

"We ask our fans to be a city of good fans as well as good neighbors and sometimes we do have more altercations between Bills and Miami fans. Sometimes, it's just a result of too much drinking leading to bad judgements," says Howard.
If you don't want to miss any of the action, Howard urges you to get to the gates an hour before kickoff, as many fans will try to get into the stadium minutes before the start of the game.
