The AAA reports the current average cost of a gallon of unleaded gasin the region is $3.89. That's now forty-seven cents moire than the national average of $3.42.
It's demolition day for the former Deaconess Center on Humboldt Parkway. Last December, Kaleida Health closed the nursing home operation there then entered into a development deal for the site with Community Action Organization of Erie County. CAO has a $34 million plan for a new headquarters, offices and community center on much of the Deaconess footprint.
Iskalo Development is proposing a Hyatt Place hotel on land it owns behind the Lord Amherst Hotel on Main Street in Snyder. Business First reports the proposal is for a 6-story, 137-room hotel.
The NFTA has announced new non-stop flights to West Palm Beach, Florida from the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. These additional flights will operate through AirTran Airways from January 6th through February 13th of 2013.
