Serafin Properties, LLC/QMC Technologies has received $89,000 in tax incentives from the ECIDA for a $575,000 expansion. QMC, located on Broadway in Depew, does precision contract manufacturing in mainly overseas markets. The expansion will create at least twenty new full-time positions.
An ECIDA affiliate, the Buffalo and Erie County Regional Development Corp., has put together a $2 million fund to aid local businesses that lost revenue from the spin-off effects of Hurricane Sandy. Business First reports the disaster relief fund provides 4% low interest rate loans of $5,000-$250,000.
The ECIDA also completed a complicated agreement that will move a South Buffalo railway deeper into the Bethlehem Steel footprint, opening up 400 acres for development.
Time Warner Cable awarded $6,000 to Firsthand Learning to support expansion and enhancement of its Buffalo-based after-school science programs.
