Buffalo police responded to a home on Heath Street ten days ago for a baby not breathing.
Officers were told the baby had been lying down after a feeding -- and began gasping for air.
They administered CPR. The child then taken to Sisters Hospital, then transferred to Women and Children's, and remained on life support until the infant died last Thursday.
When the baby was admitted, officers were told it appeared as though the infant had suffered from shaken baby syndrome.
The police investigation continues.
