Buffalo Business Report - Monday, November 26th 2012

The good news/bad news of being a border town is mostly good for Buffalo.  Bloomberg Businessweek reports Canadian retailers will lose $5 billion in holiday shopping to U.S. stores.  Lower prices and an on-par dollar are the biggest reasons for the influx of shoppers from the Great White North.  The provincial government also raised the duty-free spending limits.

Kenworth of Buffalo has acquired a dealership in the Boston, Massachusetts area and re-named its now five-dealer organization the Kenworth Northeast group.  Headquartered in Buffalo, Kenworth's other sites are in Rochester, Albany and Syracuse.

The Glen Park Tavern celebrates its 125th anniversary all next week.

Accounting Today has recognized The Bonadio Group as one of the "Best Accounting Firms to Work For."

This is the final week to make a submission for the 2013 Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Awards.  Nominations are being accepted through Friday for small, mid and large-sized companies.  You can even submit one for your own business by following this link.
