Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Time was, if the Bills were blacked out on local TV, you could cross the border and head out to one of the bars in Fort Erie, Saint Catharines, or Niagara Falls, Ont. and take in the game. That's not the case any more.
"As you know, Toronto is now a big part of the Bills' marketing plan, and that NFL footprint for the blackout includes Buffalo and Toronto and the surrounding markets," says John DiSciullo of WBBZ-TV. "If you're watching a game within that area, it's not a legal reception of the telecast."
Disciullo says your best bet to seeing the game without a ticket may require to gas up the car. "My first thought would be a road trip to Cleveland, because it's outside of the market and Cleveland has its own NFL franchise. You could also do some Christmas shopping too," suggests DiSciullo.
If all else fails, you can listen to the game Sunday on sister station WGR SportsRadio 550.
