Robbery Attempt at Cheektowaga IHOP Thwarted



(WBEN) Cheektowaga Police say no one was hurt in a botched armed robbery at the IHOP restaurant on Walden Avenue late Sunday.

The employees and customers were forced into a back office at gunpoint, but when the robbers stepped out, the door was bolted and the call to police was made. The two men fled.

Once police arrived, the employees and customers left the building and a SWAT team entered, but the robbers were nowhere to be found.

Nobody was harmed during the robbery and police are looking for the suspects.
