East Aurora HS Teacher Arrested on Drug Charges



An East Aurora high school teacher and coach has been arrested by Buffalo police, charged after a traffic stop with possession of crack cocaine.

Ryan Ellis, 36, of Tonawanda was stopped and arrested by Buffalo Police Monday on Goodyear and East Ferry, chrged with criminal posession of a controlled susbstance. 

Ellis teaches technical drawing and related courses  and coaches the East Aurora high school golf team.

News Four Buffalo reports this is NOT Ellis's first brush with the law.   in 2001 he pleaded guilty to bringing the drug ecstasy to a party where a person fatally overdosed on the drug. and in 2009, he was charged with petit larceny and DWI.
