SWAT Team members had entered the home and found Morris Tucker, 44, dead in the home's living room.
Police believe he earlier shot his wife, LeAnne Tucker, in the face. She fled the home and passersby helped transport her to ECMC where she is recovering.
Police had earlier they evacuated some houses on Campbell Boulevard, trying to remove Tucker from his home. The Sheriff's Department surrounded the home, at 31 Campbell Boulevard in Pendleton.
Niagara County Sheriff James Voutour says officers used a bullhorn to attract the attention of the couple's 3-year-old daughter. They got the child to come out of the home, they spoke to her, and the information the youngster provided gave police the confidence they needed to enter the home and find the body of the deceased man.

A three year old child was removed from the house.
