(WBEN/AP) Two persons are dead including an innocent bystander following a police chase on the east side of Buffalo.
Police officials say that officers had pulled over 48-year-old Issak Parker around 7 p.m. Thursday for a minor traffic violation and determined he was under the influence of alcohol.
When an officer reached into the car to turn off the ignition, Parker sped off and slammed into three light poles at Fillmore Avenue and Riley Street.
Parker was killed, and one of the light standards knocked over by the driver also killed an innocent bystander. Her name has not been made public.
Police say they're investigating whether one of the officers fired his gun during the incident.
