Rich Products Corporation has finalized three new deals.  Two purchases involve California-based firms; one known for its par-baked pizza crusts; the other for milkshakes, smoothies and frozen coffee beverages sold in convenience stores.  Rich Products also announced a new joint venture with Twin Star Bakery, which recently opened a desserts manufacturing operation in Texas.

Chevy's 2.0L turbo I-4 engine has been named one of the 2013 10 best engines for North America by WardsAuto-dot-com.  That engine is being manufactured at the Tonawanda Engine plant.

The Niagara County Industrial Development Agency is mulling over economic development assistance for two companies.  Covanta Niagara L.P. plans a $30.1 million investment at its Niagara Falls facility.  Trek, Incorporated is pulling out of Orleans County and moving to the former Harrison Radiator complex in Lockport.

The Frog Hair Grille and Golf restaurant has re-opened on Transit Road near the Sheridan Drive overpass.  The restaurant has completed a $500,000 renovation.
